ABOUT US

The "Back In The Day Band" was formed by Larry
Lee who played Professional Football with The Detroit Lions, The
Miami Dolphins and Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos.
In
1993 Larry transitioned from the football field to the front office
and became a Vice-President for the Detroit Lions till 2001. After
leaving the Lions, he decided to take his second love - playing bass
- and make it his new career.
The "Back In The Day Band" that
Larry assembled is comprised of some of the finest musicians around.
They feature former members of The Temptations, The Four Tops, The
Spinners, The Dramatics, The Contours, and the The Funk
Brothers.
These musicians have played at some of the most
prestigious venues and music tours across the country and around the
world. Click the BAND link to learn more about each member.
The "Back In The Day Band" plays a mix of cover songs and
originals that span R&B, Funk, Pop, Soul, Blues, Hip-Hop, Disco,
and even Rock. If you can move and groove to it, they can play
it.
You can see the band perform regularly around the
Metro-Detroit area at places like Ford Field, The Fox Theatre, The
Sound Board Theatre, The Jazz Cafe, Baker's Keyboard Lounge, and at
events like Arts, Beats & Eats, the Ribs & Soul R&B Fest
and River Days. They have played nationally at Carnegie Hall, The
Greek Theatre, Hines Field, and Super Bowl XL in Detroit.
If
you want to book them for a corporate event, community event,
festival, wedding, or private party, you can do that,
too.
The "Back in the Day
Band" makes Detroit rock. Their high-energy music and funky sound
electrifies audiences and gets them singing and dancing. They are
Detroit's hottest Party Band.

"It is without
reservation that I recommend Larry Lee and his Back In The Day Band
to anyone looking for high end professional entertainment. They are
a highly entertaining, first-class group. It was our honor to have
them play at our Super Bowl XLIII Championship Party. Larry's band
does a great job of adapting to the crowd and making sure everybody
has a great time."
